The Wolves boss reckons it’s high time Arsene Wenger’s men were given a taste of their own medicine and now hopes his team can take advantage of their tired legs.Mick McCarthy thoroughly enjoyed the run-around Barcelona gave Arsenal on Wednesday night.

“Barcelona were awesome for the first 20-25 minutes and Arsenal got to feel how the rest of us feel,” said McCarthy.

“It was nice to see them getting a taste of their own medicine. They did not see the ball for 20 minutes.

“They have been doing that to the rest of us for long enough, so I had a wry smile at them chasing it.

“I hope there are some ramifications for their game against us. If there’s some tiredness and it can help us get something, brilliant.

“We will probably need all the help we can get. Nobody expects us to get anything. There is one thing that would be worse. It could be Barcelona waiting for us.”
